You can easily create and add a video to any assignment or discussion by using Perceivant Video in the text editor.
In the Text Editor
In the text editor for adding a reply to a discussion or creating a submission for an assignment, click on the Perceivant Video icon [1] from the editor nav bar.
Start Recording New Video
In the Perceivant Video pop-up, click Record [1]. Note: Sometimes the pop-up will load blank the first time you open it. If this happens, close the pop-up and click the Perceivant Video icon again.
You should be able to see yourself in the recording box. Perceivant Video uses the webcam on your computer. If you do not see yourself in the box, you may need to give your web browser permission to use your computer's audio and video features.
Click Start Recording [2] when you are ready to record.
Complete Your Recording and Upload
While you are recording, the box around the recording area will be red. When you are done recording, click Stop Recording [3].
If Title [5], Description [6] and Upload [7] are not already visible, use the scrollbar [4] to scroll down. Add a Title [5] and Description [6] for your video. Click Upload [7] to add the video to your submission. Depending on the size of your video, this could take a few seconds to a few minutes.
Submit
Before you have submitted your Discussion post or saved and submitted your Assignment, the video may preview as just a blank background.
Once you have submitted it, you will see your video.
