How to Apply an LTI Assignment Into Your Course

App Settings
First, we must create the application settings to ensure that everything is set to our liking.


Below home, within the navigation pane on the left-hand side of your screen, scroll down and select settings.


From here, we will navigate to "Apps" so we can locate the application settings.


Next, locate "View App Configurations" on the right side. 


This is where you can locate the name of your LTI and view its configurations by selecting the gear to the right-hand side and selecting "Edit".


To add a new app, simply click the "add" button.


We at Perceivant will provide the key and secret for your application. Copy and paste this information into the applications configuration settings and submit the information to build the LTI.


If needed, you can look through all configurations and make sure that they meet your desired requirements.

Implementing your LTI into an assignment.
To add an assignment from an LTI link into your course is simple and easy.



After creating a new assignment, scroll down to "Submission type" and click on the dropdown. Select "External Tool".



After selecting "External Tool", add in the link for your LTI. The preferred method would be to also select the "Load This Tool In A New Tab" checkbox, however, you can do this at your discretion.

After this has been completed, make sure to save your new assignment, and select "Save and Publish" if you are ready to go live with the assignment, as it will not be visible to students unless the assignment is also published.
